Your privacy, your choice

Ask can remember followed interests and research on this device. You can inspect or erase Ask's local browser data. This does not erase copies held by outside providers or server logs.

Explore without saving

Use a separate private search page that does not write personal history to Ask's local storage. Opening external search or AI providers still shares your query with them, and browsers or networks may keep records.

What's stored here?

Checking browser storage…

Only you can see this inventory on this device. The page does not upload it.

Forget by category

Remove a group of saved information without erasing everything. You will be asked to confirm.

Individual entries

Friendly labels describe the type of information. Tap “Technical details” to see exact storage keys. This is not a complete audit of server-side information.

Keep a copy before deleting

Export the Ask-prefixed browser entries as a JSON backup stored on your device. The file may contain private research and should be protected.

Erase Ask's local data

Removes Ask-prefixed local and session storage entries on this browser origin, including follows, notes, and saved research. Other sites, other devices, downloaded backups, and server records are not affected.

What this does not promise

Deleting a browser entry may not remove data from other browser storage types (such as IndexedDB or Cache Storage). Existing Ask pages may save data while you use them. Private Session is a separate, limited page—not a browser incognito mode. Cloud sync, account deletion, and a no-logging guarantee are not implemented.
